Well this week it has finally felt like Spring. We had beautiful weather all week and all weekend. So we have been spending a lot of time outside and the boys have been loving it.

We have been doing quite a bit of yard work, trying to fix up the yard and do some landscaping. The house we bought was a foreclosure and sat empty for a year. The bank watered and mowed the grass/weeds. So we at least had something to work with. But Joe has done a lot of weed killing and some fertilizing and in about a week we will be putting down some new seed in the places that need filled in. We are also working on planting some trees in the yard. We are probably the only house on the block that doesn't have ANY trees. We bought one for the front yard this weekend (see pic above with Luke) and we will be getting some sort of nice shade tree for the back yard. We also got some bushes and grass plants to put in the front landscape. We are pretty excited about dressing it up and making it our own.

The boys have been loving the yard, front and back. The backyard has been awesome. I can let the boys out there and not worry to much about anything happening to them. The sliding glass door is right off of the kitchen so I can always see them really well and keep an eye on them when I am not out there with them. They have been playing with chalk alot and just running around in the grass. They have also had fun out in the front of the house a little too. Luke has been riding his bike quite a bit and playing the neighbor kids across the street.

We went for a nice walk tonight while Luke road his bike, and it was really peaceful. I also walked to Luke's school this past week for the first time to pick him up. I am hoping we have some more nice days to do that before it gets to hot. It is a good little walk probably about 15 minutes there and 15 back. I enjoy it, but I am sure Luke will get tired of it if I do it everyday. Need to figure out a system to bring his bike with me so he can ride it home.

Well our first Spring in Idaho has been great so far, seeing all trees and flowers in bloom and working on our own place.

Sounds like a wonderful home!
We also moved into a home (6 years ago) with virtually zero landscaping and clay earth, it's hard but worth it..to make it your own.
Your boys look so happy together, Luke looks happy to have a little bro. :-)
